breakfast

Vanilla Honey Greek Yogurt (BEST EVER)
4 strawberries, diced
5 blackberries, cut in half
3/4 cup of maple pecan granola

Probably not the healthiest breakfast ever, but damn, it is amazingly good.

I call these, “Pistol Squats”

Find your balance on one leg and slowly squat down. This move is actually pretty tough. I can only do 5 reps at a time. If you can’t do this, just stick to regular squats with both feet on the ground.

This move will strengthen your balance, core, quads, glutes, and hamstrings.

My right leg is definitely weaker haha.

This just makes me wanna do it and get better!!!! :)

Do this sometimes when it’s goalie training! We do them on benches to get even better balance and get lower, and I freaking love/HATE them!

I just tried these, & def failed. I want to work up to it though!!

these are killers!

i would squat and NEVER get up again haha

Salt Glitter
Mix 1/4 cup of salt with a 1/2 teaspoon of food coloring in a small bowl until the salt is uniformly colored. Spread the mixture out in an even layer on a foil-lined baking sheet. Bake in the oven for ten minutes. Allow your homemade glitter to cool before using it or storing it. And that’s it!:)

the good guy.

Zach.

He is really a super nice person. He’s friendly to everyone. Today he carried the 50 pound bag of dog food I was buying after work to my car. He asked and I said no and then lifted it and said “do you mind?” and he grabbed it with one hand and walked me to my car. I was seriously thankful because where employees can park is pretty far from the store. I don’t mind the walk… unless I have a bag of dog food that’s almost the same height as me.

Also, my GYN called in birth control for me because my insurance has decided that an IUD is technically a prescription, and I only have medical and dental insurance. BOO! So my doc put me on Sprintec. It’s like, $9 so yay. I start Sunday. Hopefully it will help the cramps, and the hunger, and most importantly: my polycycstic ovaries. I hate having PCOS. It makes weight loss hard. And having it doesn’t mean you necessarily mean you get cysts on your ovaries… I do though. EVERY. DAMN. MONTH. I fucking hate it. And I can tell I am going to start mine tomorrow. How? Back cramps, huge headache, and the constant hunger that doesn’t go away.

I bought myself a little Vera Bradley key chain wallet thingy. It’s pretty. And I’ve condensed my entire purse into it, for the most part. At least for work. I sometimes don’t want to take my purse if I have to run out and get something, so I grab my keys and wallet and then would forget to put my wallet in my purse and loose it. So this prevents it :) Yay!

Handbag workout
No equipment? Accessorize your workout with stuff you already have! Use a handbag and put heavy things in it, like for example packages of rice (I put 4kg -8.8 lbs). Books and dictionaries will also work too, no excuses!

Here is a suggestion for a glute-targeting circuit:

1- Squat trust & lift
2- Pass-through lunges
3- One-legged bridge on the right leg
4- One-legged bridge on the left leg
5- Squat press
6- Donkey kick right leg
7- Donkey kick left leg
8- Froggy glute lift
9- Back lunge push-out right leg
10- Back lunge push-out left leg

15 repetitions per exercise, perform circuit 3 times. It takes about 10 minutes to complete the circuit one time.

NB: this is not a real Louis Vuitton bag, it’s a fake… If I had a real expensive designer bag, you bet I’d not use it as workout equipment! ^_^
Exercise descriptions can be found on my wordpress-blog: www.fitnesstreats.com/2012/05/handbag-workout

omfg what, what genius thinks of these

I have tons of old ugly handbags perfect for that usage
